When Willows Weep

Mark is a preacher, lawyer, husband, and father who learns that his seemingly perfect life is about to be shattered when a past sin comes back to haunt him and his family.

Mark's wife, Claire, has always considered herself to be the perfect first wife, keeping up her image for the church and friends. Inside, she feels alone because Mark stops appreciating her and barely looks in her direction. Mark and Claire's daughter, Sarah, is the picture perfect daughter. She plays chess, is on the swim team, soccer team, and is at the top of her class. There isn't anything she wouldn't do for her father, whom she admires. On the other hand, Sarah can't stand her mother for constantly pushing her to be the perfect preacher's kid.

The foundation of this family's house begins to shake once Ciara, a six-year-old biracial girl, and her aunt Tamara show up at their residence, claiming Ciara to be Mark's illegitimate child. As Mark's adultery becomes fully aware, he is faced with losing everything: his wife, daughter, church, and clients. As he watches his wife become cold and distant, and his eldest daughter become wild and rebellious, he tries to find the answer to his problems by seeking God. Even as he seeks God, his faith wavers, and he wonders if broken marriages can truly be restored just by calling on the name of Jesus.
