Under The Peach Tree

Hope grew up wondering why God never loved her. She wasn’t allowed to go to church on Sundays with her twin sister, Faith and considered herself to be the ugly twin-the unloved twin. She was called the devil by her mother so many times that she eventually began to believe it. At fifteen, Hope is wild and doesn’t care about her mother or anyone else for that matter. Since she was the so-called devil, she began behaving like one.

After committing one of the worse crimes against her mother, Hope is kicked out of her house. Having spent several days homeless and alone, Hope runs into a blind, elderly prophetess named May, who blesses her with a gift from God: a new home-one where she is taught the true meaning of love, family, and God.

When Hope meets Dante, a quirky yet attractive boy who visits with May every day, her life changes even more. With young love in the air, nothing can go wrong. But just when Hope thinks her life is perfect, she learns that May, who had been more of a mother to her than her biological mother, is dying of cancer. Hope is lost, afraid, and feeling unloved by God more than ever. She must learn how to conquer her deepest fears and have faith that all things work together for the good of God, and trust that His plan for her life is greater than her current situation. But how does one learn to trust in God when the very thing holding them back is themselves?
